The vitamin D3, commonly known as vitamin D or "sun vitamin" is a fat-soluble compound directly involved in the functioning of the immune system, bones, and muscles. Its main source is the sun: through contact with light, our skin can synthesize almost 80% of our daily needs.
Limited exposure to sunlight, age (as we age we lose the ability to synthesize it1), or that our kidneys cannot transform it to its active form in the body2; causes Vitamin D deficiencies and negatively affects our health. A healthy and safe alternative to reaching the minimum daily recommended dose for the correct functioning of our body [600 IU (15 µg) in adults from 19 to 70 years old2], are vitamin supplements.
Vitamin D3 4000, from Vitobest®, contains 4000 IU (100 µg) of vitamin D3 per capsule and contributes to the normal functioning of the muscles and the immune system, and to the process of cell division. In addition, it helps to ensure good intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphorus (two essential and necessary elements for the formation and functionality of the body's bone tissue), to maintain normal levels of calcium in the blood, and to reduce the risk of falls related to postural instability and muscle weakness.
Vitobest® uses for this supplement vegetable capsules (VegeCaps) suitable for vegetarians and free of titanium dioxide.
